Bring your non-perishable food for donation to BackPack Beginnings

to help feed our community.

Door Prize drawing for $100 VISA Gift Card sponsored by BluSky for individuals who bring food donations.

Following lunch, volunteers will go to BackPack Beginnings. Limit 12 people

On-site Warehouse Volunteers:

1. Masks are required when working in the warehouse. Gloves are not required to work in the warehouse. Please plan to bring gloves from home if you would like them, as we have a limited supply. Hand washing will be required when you arrive and hand sanitizer will be available.

2. Please dress to work in our warehouse which is located at 3707-D Alliance Dr Greensboro, NC 27407. The warehouse is very warm during the summer and cool in the winter month (wear light layers). Comfortable clothing and close-toed shoes are recommended.

3. Feel free to bring your own water. We don't have a water fountain.

4. Tasks will vary week to week and day to day. Potential tasks may include sorting food, clothing or books, making bags of food, counting inventory, stuffing comfort backpacks and more.

Did you know?

1. We accept GENTLY used items so please ask your participants to look around their house to see how they can help. Examples include plastic grocery bags, children's books, children's clothing/shoes, stuffed animals, and one-piece or bagged toys that fit in a backpack.

2. Businesses and churches, did you know that we partner with A Simple Gesture to bring in more food and help expand our Food Pantry Program? Your office/congregation can collect food for us up to 6 times a year and they make it EASY! Food is picked up from your location. Email [email protected] to learn more.
